My Story

A little about me, and why I started The Well Edit.

To me, The Well Edit isn't about being the health expert. It's about being the person who reads the research, asks the questions most people don't have time to ask, and then says, "Here's what I found, here's what seems well-supported, and here's one small thing we can try."

Where it all began

I've always been deeply interested in health, nutrition, movement, and the science of living well. I grew up in a vegetarian home where yoga and meditation were the daily norm. That was in the 70s and 80s. I was pretty sure I was the weirdest kid in town. Nobody I knew had ever heard of meditation and most people thought I was going to die because I didn't eat meat.

Years later, I realized being the weird hippie kid had turned out to be a gift. It gave me healthy habits and what I like to call "health awareness" at an early age. That early learning led to lifelong curiosity and interest in health and well-being.

Like many others, I've faced my own health challenges over the years—experiences that have deepened my curiosity and reinforced the importance of continually learning, questioning, and making small, meaningful changes.

I believe better health begins with better understanding. The Well Edit is my way of sharing this journey. Together, we'll explore the science behind healthy living and turn it into practical, everyday actions that fit real life.

I don't believe in perfection. I believe that small, consistent edits have the power to transform our health over time.

Three roles, one life

It's never easy to capture a life in a single page, but when I think about who I am, three roles have shaped almost everything I do.....

A mother

I have two creative, adventurous, and wonderfully unique boys who challenge me every day to be the best version of myself. Watching them grow and change is a constant reminder that learning never ends. They are one of the greatest reasons I care so deeply about creating a healthier future for the next generation.

A creator

My life has been filled with creating all kinds of content—from videos and websites to magazines, courses, and presentations. Through it all, one thread has remained the same: turning ideas into engaging, meaningful experiences that help people understand information in a way that's useful, memorable, and actionable.

An explorer

I've always been curious. Sometimes that's meant traveling to faraway places like Antarctica. Other times, it's meant asking questions, digging into research, and being open to changing my mind. The choices we make every day—from the foods we eat to the products we buy—have the power to improve not only our own health but also the health of the world around us.

The Well Edit brings together everything I love—science, storytelling, creativity, and education—to make health information easier to understand and easier to apply.

And I'm learning too. I read the research, test what works in my own life, and share what I discover with you.

My hope is that The Well Edit empowers you to make one small change today that leads to a healthier tomorrow—for yourself, your family, and the generations that follow.
